Service History

View a complete chronological record of all service completions across your customers.

Overview

The Service History page provides a complete record of every time a service was marked as completed for any customer. Unlike the Reminders page (which shows what's due next), Service History shows what's already been done — giving you a clear picture of customer engagement over time.

Viewing Service History

  1. Navigate to Service History in the sidebar.
  2. Browse the list of completions (newest first).
  3. Each entry shows:
    • Customer name — Click to go to their detail page
    • Service name — Which service was completed
    • Completion date — When it was marked as done
    • Completed by — Which team member marked it (if available)
    • Notes — Any additional context

Searching and Filtering

Use the controls at the top of the page to find specific completions:

  • Search — Type a customer name or email to find their completions
  • Service filter — Select a specific service from the dropdown to see only completions for that service
  • Date range — Set "From" and "To" dates to view completions within a specific time period
  • Clear — Reset all filters back to the default view

Filters can be combined. For example, you can search for a customer name while also filtering to a specific service and date range.

Grouping

Use the group-by toggle pills to organize completions:

  • None (default) — A flat list sorted by date, newest first
  • Date — Groups completions under date headers, so you can see everything completed on a given day
  • Service — Groups completions under service name headers, so you can see all completions for each service together

Customer Profile Timeline

Each customer's detail page also shows their recent service completions in a dedicated Service Completions section. This section appears between the Assigned Services table and the Email Activity list.

  • Count badge — Shows the total number of completions for this customer
  • Recent completions — The 10 most recent completions with service name, date, and who completed it
  • View all — Click to jump to the Service History page filtered to just this customer's completions

How Completions Are Recorded

Every time you mark a service as completed — whether from the customer's detail page, the service's detail page, or the Reminders page — a permanent record is created in the Service History. This happens automatically alongside the existing reminder recalculation.

The key difference from the "Last Completed" date shown in the Assigned Services table: the Last Completed date only shows the most recent completion, while Service History preserves every completion. If a customer completes the same service 5 times over 5 years, all 5 completions are recorded.

Use Cases

Proving Value to Customers

Show customers their complete service history to demonstrate the ongoing value of your business relationship. For example: "We've serviced your HVAC system 4 times over the past 3 years."

Understanding Customer Behavior

Use Service History to identify patterns:

  • Which services get completed most often?
  • Which customers are most engaged?
  • Are completions seasonal or steady throughout the year?

Team Accountability

Since each completion records who marked it, managers can see which team members are processing completions and when.

Tip: Use the date range filter to generate a quick summary of all completions for a given month or quarter — useful for reporting and performance reviews.
